The climate of Muscat is hot and arid, with blistering summers and comfortable winters. It is located just above the Tropic of Cancer. Muscat’s summer months run from April to October, with June and July being the hottest month of the year, with an average temperature of 40 degrees Celsius. Muscat receives very little rain, with the most significant rainfall recorded being 100mm. The wettest month is February, and the driest month is May.
When is the best time to visit Salalah?
Salalah has an entirely different climate than the rest of Oman, owing to the Khareef monsoon’s wind. Due to the climatic circumstances, the air is also warm and humid, and the vegetation is incredibly lush. As a result, the great season to visit Salalah is at any time of year. The best weather is between October and April; however, the weather is still lovely in May and September because these are transitional months.
